Proceeds from Cougars 50/50 Raffle To Benefit Local Organizations

GENEVA, Ill. – The Kane County Cougars will donate proceeds from the 2023 season’s 50/50 raffle to four organizations in Kane County, announced today.

The four organizations were selected and voted on by the Kane County Cougars Foundation and will be divided on a month-to-month basis during the season.

Proceeds for the month of May will be sent to the Joshua Tree Community. The Joshua Tree Community is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit day program for non-aggressive young adults with intellectual disabilities over the age of 22 or are no longer in public education and over the age of 18.  Their goal is to provide an underserved community of adults a means to participate in activities that will enrich their lives on a year round, daily basis.

For the month of June, proceeds will be donated to the Geneva Women’s Club. The Geneva Women’s club is a not-for-profit philanthropic organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of families in the Fox Valley.

In July, proceeds will be donated to CASA Kane County. CASA Kane County is a Guardian ad Litem, not-for-profit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children in abuse, neglect and private guardianship cases with the Juvenile Court system.

For the month of August and the Cougars four September games, proceeds will be donated to Anderson Humane. Anderson Humane helps animals find their second homes, along with fostering and assisting with wildlife protection. Their mission statement is to champion the welfare of animals and improve the lives of people through programs that create mutually beneficial human-animal connections, inspiring kindness and respect throughout the community.
