Head Groundskeeper

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of playing field maintenance and preparation including:
• Irrigation
• Lawn care including mowing, edging, top-dressing, chemical applications, disease control / prevention, etc.
• Game Day Set Up
• BP and Early Work
• Pre-game field preparation
• Supervision of seasonal staff
• Managing Budget and working with vendors
• Maintenance and service of equipment

Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum of two (2) years related experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Willingness to work odd hours including weekends and holidays

Compensation: Salary plus benefits

Graphic Designer

The Kane County Cougars are seeking an energetic, self-motivated team player to join our organization as a Graphic Designer. Working in a very fast paced environment, the ideal candidate will work closely with a Sr. Graphic Designer and other department to create all of our advertising and promotional materials from concept to completion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Responsibility for print advertisements including design, layout and copywriting
• Working with sales staff to design and layout fliers to promote events
• Creation of direct mail pieces, outdoor advertising, stadium signage, apparel, multimedia, website graphics
• Opportunity for photography and videography for design projects
• Opportunities for additional design projects including logos, team uniforms and more based on qualifications and experience
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or higher or trade school equivalent in Graphic Design required
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
• Incorporate input of clients and sales staff into designs
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented person to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Experienced and proficient in Macintosh based graphics programs: Quark, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop as well as Web-based marketing programs.
• Video Production programs (i.e.-Adobe Premier) or related programs a plus

Merchandise Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all souvenir shop operations including, but not limited to, maintaining store appearances, restocking, operating POS system, scheduling and overseeing game-day employees, reconciling sales, money, and inventory at end of night, and running nightly sales and inventory reports.

DIRECTION EXERCISED
Hire, train, and schedule souvenir game-day employees. Oversee employees during games by working in stores and making regular rounds.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours on game days.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Our work environment is very physical, fast paced and at times very stressful. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the customer service skills to interact with our guests on a regular basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job involves bending and lifting boxes up to 50 lbs., you must have the ability to load and unload items from truck and store on site, and be able to daily move merchandise from storage spaces to the stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise seasonal part-time employees.
2. Clean and restock souvenir shops before every game.
3. Periodically spot check staffs, especially new hires to insure proper procedures are adhered to and work as a “team player” to instill a feeling of cooperation, trust and mutual respect among subordinates.
4. Enforce all company policies and practices as established in the employee handbook and training manuals.

GAME DAY OPERATIONS
1. Clean souvenir shops before every game.
2. Restock all merchandise daily.
3. Prints appropriate merchandise labels for employees to use when they arrive, pick up bank bags from cash room, and open the stores for employees as they arrive.
4. Check in with employees at each location to explain any special vouchers or circumstances for that particular night.
5. Rotate between sales locations during games to lend a hand, to supervise employees, and to promote an honest and ethical work environment.
6. Verify and sign off on end-of-night cash sheets and reconciliations and return bank bags to cash room.
7. Run appropriate sales reports on a nightly basis and distribute accordingly.
8. Nightly inventory counts returned to cash room.

FACILITY
Assist with putting on and taking off field tarp as requested.

REPORTS GENERATED
1. Sales by Inventory Items
2. Daily Inventory Counts
3. Monthly Inventory Counts
4. Others as requested and necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Professional: Minimum of one (1) year related work experience, related college degree strongly preferred, along with computer hardware and software experience.

Personal: Project a positive image to internal (employees) and external (fans, vendors) customers. Communicate effectively and professionally at all times. Display strong leadership skills, exercise excellent managerial judgment, ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, clean and neat at all times, team builder and team player.
